This App is a supplementary navigation tool only, designed to assist with azimuth and direction finding using solar position calculations based on your device's GPS coordinates and clock.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

This App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including but not limited to: accuracy of solar calculations, reliability of GPS data, device sensor accuracy, availability of GPS signal, or compatibility with all devices and browsers.

4. Limitation of Liability

The developers shall not be held liable for:

Personal injury, death, or loss of life from reliance on this App
Property damage or financial loss
Errors in navigation or direction finding
Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

By using this App you agree to indemnify and hold harmless all parties associated with it.

5. South African Law Compliance

Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008: Users are advised of all risks and limitations
Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002: Electronic agreements and data protection
Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA): See Privacy section below
National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996: Do not operate this App while driving

6. Known Limitations

GPS Accuracy: Civilian GPS can have errors of 5–10 metres or more
Device Sensors: Phone compasses can be affected by magnetic interference
Atmospheric Refraction: Not accounted for in calculations
Battery Dependency: Requires device power to function
Calculation Precision: Solar calculations are approximations, not exact

7. Emergency Situations

In a real emergency: Call 10111 (SAPS) or 112 (Mobile Emergency). Do not rely solely on this App for rescue navigation. Stay in one location if safe — it is easier for rescue teams to find you.

8. Privacy & Data Protection (POPIA)

This App may access your device's GPS location for calculations
No data is transmitted to external servers
No data is stored or logged
All calculations are performed locally on your device

9. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your own safety. Always carry proper navigation equipment, inform someone of your plans, and verify information using alternative methods.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
